
Babljak
Rajko Denic, RETURNEE. Mr. Denic initiated and coordinated the return to his village. Bablak/Babljak is presented by UNMIK as a successful return project. Out of 43 families that returned to Bablak/Babljak, only five remained by 2007.

Klina
Leposava Mazic, RETURNEE. She returned together with her husband, Miodrag Mazic, to Klinë/Klina, a town around 90 kilometers from Pristina. According to UNMIK, Klina is one of the few places in which urban returns have been successfully accomplished.

Donja Budriga
Stana Stojanovic, INTERNALLY DISPLACED. Former worker in a textile factory, she is now living in displacement with her son and father-in-law in a shack. Like the majority of other members of Kosovo minorities, she did not profite from the privatization of her factory.

Camp Osterode Mitrovica
Habib Hajdinj, INTERNALLY DISPLACED.He is the leader of the Roma of Camp Osterode, the new IDP shelter that UNMIK built for 1.6million euros for the Roma who were living in the lead-poisoned camps in northern Kosovo for the last seven years.

Partesh
Vasiljkovic family, INTERNALLY DISPLACED. Originally from Zhiti/Zitinje, the six-member-family has been displaced for the last seven years. They live in the former library in Paresh/Partes, just few kilometers from their home, with their four children.

Gracanica
Verica Ristic, INTERNALLY DISPLACED. Teacher and principalof an elementary school in Prishtinë/Pristina until 1999. Feeling homesick, she came back to Kosovo in 2006. She now lives and works in the enclave of Graçanicë/Gracanica.

IDP Gracanica
Olgica Subotic, INTERNALLY DISPLACED. She was forced from her home in Obiliq/Obilic during the March 2004 riots. Her home now is a container in the camp of Graçanicë/Gracanica. She does not feel safe to return to her town.

Zegra, Gnijlane
Nikola Stojanovic, INTERNALLY DISPLACED. 81 years old farmer, displaced in Budrigë e Posthme/Donja Budriga, just seven kilometers from his home in the village of Zhegër/Žegra. His house was destroyed and never reconstructed.

Leposavic Lead poisoned camps
Tahir Gusani, INTERNALLY DISPLACED. Former worker in the Trepca mines. He left his home in Mitrovicë/Mitrovica before its destruction. He is now displaced in one of the camps for Roma IDPs in northern Kosovo built by UNMIK in 1999.

Lukavac, Istok
Snezana Dubic, RETURNEE. Widow and mother of five children, she is supporting the entire family by working irregularly as a cleaning lady. The family cannot work on its land since implements and machines are often being stolen.

Mazic Kilna town
Miodrag Mazic, RETURNEE. Car mechanic without customers due to his ethnicity, Mr. Mazic was the first urban returnee to Klinë/Klina. He is struggling to remain there in spite of the frequent attacks against the few Serbs in the town.
